Hi, can you tell me if this part controls oven temp as my oven temp goes up or down on its own. Thanks

This part will fail and cut out if the oven overheats and will remain 'off' until this part is replaced.

The part i am looking for is similar to the other temp limiter you have on your web site, but it has a screw coming from the bottom and it is mounted on a bracket with the cooker thermostat. It has a red spot on it also. As there is not yet an available image i am not sure if this is the correct part. I would be grateful for your advice. Thanks M Hooton. I have tried to add some pics hope they can help with my question.

Hi Chellehooty, thanks very much for the photos! I'll just need one more thing from you though: your cooker's model number. Once I have this I'll happily find you the right limiter. For help finding your model number, use our guide: http://www.espares.co.uk/findingmodelnumbers.aspx#a1

Hi I just replaced my main oven element and found that no power was getting to the element so i found that the temperature limiter was open circuit and looked burnt . I looked on your site and found two possibility's , ES1145412 (which i purchased ) and ES113901 which was looks the same and is listed as being for my model also . In view of the the temp limiter being destroyed i also bought a new thermostat from you . With all the new parts fitted , things are still not right in that with the temp limiter breaks the circuit at 153 deg and allows it to drop to 76 deg before it re-connects (big hysteresis) , oven temps measured with a thermocouple & multimeter . This is with the back refitted etc.. , but with the back off it climbed to 250 deg before going open circuit . Might it be possible that i have the wrong limiter? . One other thing is that as i remember the original switch was definitely mounted with only one screw and the opposite leg possibly wasn't tucked behind a cleft in the steel panel face , which it was obviously made for . I wonder if the manufacturer had left the leg from behind the cleft on purpose so as to reduce surface area contact (reducing heat transfer ) ?
