Whirlpool AKZ161/03/IX (858516115122) how do i know if the element or thermostat needs to be replaced the main oven turns on fan works light works but the main oven dose not get hot even after half an hour still cold but fan is working. the upper oven works fine and the timer and clock work fine many thanks n.barsley

Carefully examine the fan element as there may be evidence of damage when it failed. Also check for an oven temperature indicating lamp, If this is lit and remains on then it is indicating the thermostat is supplying power and the element has failed.
