Both the panel and the switch are inflexible hard plastic. I have broken one switch already trying to get the old switch back in the new panel.

We are sorry but have no information on this. However some plastics become less brittle when warmed by a hair dryer so try warming before fitting the part.

We think it will be necessary to remove the switch assembly to fit this slider. It may be worth removing the hood from the wall to have better access when carrying out the repair.
