Fan Oven Element - 2000W
If the internal element filament burns out, this can cause the element to short circuit - and will lead it to fail. Potential signs that the element has blown can be visual things, such as a split, bulge, or blow hole on the element.
The function of the fan oven element is to heat the oven cavity. When the cooker knob is turned on for your electric cooker, electricity will flow to the element which then proceeds to heat up. Once the element reaches the desired temperature, the electricity flow switches on and off to maintain the temperature.
eSpares has the replacement fan oven element, that could soon be yours, to help get your fan oven back to the required temperature - so you can continue to make your delicious meals!

From my experience these nuts tend to be between 7mm and 10 mm and can usually be removed using a 1/4 inch socket drive with a screwdriver handle.
I have followed instructions (easily) until the actual unscrewing of the element. In the oven (where video shows 3 screws holding the element) there is one screw holding the actual element but where there should be 2 in the plate there is only 2 solid, round "caps". These don't appear to come off and, so far, I've been unable to see anything at the back to remove. I'm stumped !! I've had oven out, panels off but just cannot see how to remove element. Can you please advise Thanks

This sounds like you are reffering to the bolt heads that are 'riveted' into the element bracket (see our picture of the element). These are unbolted from the back were two nuts fold them in place.
