Tumble Dryer Inlet Thermostat
The thermostat in your tumble dryer controls the heating functions. It works by sensing what temperature is inside the dryer and regulates it accordingly. If your dryer isn't heating up to the full temperature, then it may be time to replace the thermostat.

confirm when cold by turning on for a short period of time. This may just be 'latent heat' from inside that can be noticed when the machine is not drawing air through. If it definitely heats disconnect and feel for the source when warm as it may be the timer?.
White Knight Gas Tumble Dryer: The heater only works intermittently, sometimes the heat comes on and other times it doesn't. either way, it never dries fully, even when heat works, it switches off while clothes are still damp. Anyone got any ideas? 1 Answer

Needing a thermostat is a possibility but we cannot give technical advice unfortunately. Please contact an engineer to confirm the fault with your appliance then hopefully we can help.
