can you tell me if this unit heats the cold water to wash temp? if not can you tell me what does, and where it is located please.

- Can you tell me if this can be used to attach the heating element for a FDW85A. I bought some hose clips from B&Q but they seem to work lose after 2-3 washes and are tripping the electrics.
