  The dial would have to be removed to cleaned to be sure it's nothing else a spillage can get inside the fascia so remove and check the control unit for any signs of damage.

• Hi Dean I've cleaned around the dial but it's still sticking. This seems to be the only part that could cause the issue, since the dial attaches directly to it and the only connection from this part to the rest of the machine is electrical. Can you think of anything else that could cause the dial to stick? Just want to be confident this is the issue before parting with £60+ for a spare part...thanks in anticipation.   You would need to gain access to the dial to check for the reason for the sticking, test the dial and any spillage that may be causing the sticking before suspecting the control unit.
