hi , this is the bit , under the knob that should press down to get gas i need that part , but dont know what they call it

We believe this is the push button from the clock. We recommend that only people registered with the Gas Safe Register make this type of repair. Maybe a good option for you would be to use a repair company like "Repaircare" who offer a fixed price repair option.
