Zanussi ZDC37200w Would worn bearing stop the drum from turning and make a grinding noise.
Also when i took the small plastic cover off the bearing there was, what looked like iron filings there. the fan belt has not snapped, thats still round the drum

The 'iron filings' suggest a worn bearing but if it has cut through the drum spindle it would stop the drum from moving.
