Would it be this switch that turns the machine off when the door is opened after the start of the washing cycle. The machine works but if you open the door it doesn't turn off the machine as it did.

The microswitch is incorporated into the door catch and when the door opens it should switch off, check the microswitch and make sure the catch is activating the switch before replacing.
