• We also bought this kit to cut down on condensation. Our hood is not on an external wall so I only needed certain items from the kit. As we are in a bungalow we took a (new) longer vent pipe into the roof space and then out through a soffit grille. As it's only just been fitted, it's too early to say whether it will be effective. It may be that our vent pipe is too long to work well. The main issue with the universal fitting is that it didn't fit our Neff hood particularly well and some degree of improvisation (and gaffer tape) was required. I'd suggest looking for a specific branded version if one is available but this kit should do the job if you can't find anything else. By MrBodgeit - Chester - 01 November 2009
