Once all the door surround screws are removed the two parts of the frame need to be prised apart. Try using a flat bladed screwdriver and start at the hinge area.

  • how do you get the worn hook out of the door handle area. 2 screws are undone but hook and /or plastic surround will NOT dismantle, appears to be jammed and tight in its surroundings. Do you have to remove door from machine to obtain better access ? Does the door inner ring have to be removed first ? Have already purchased door lock receptacle and successfully fitted that inside the machine, but existing hook will not catch and hold properly, so now want to inspect the hook assembly.
