i found what appears to be this item on the floor by my dryer, not sure where it came from!

Hi there, this peg fits in various places on the hundreds of different dryers it fits. Most likely it has either come from the door latch if you found it at the front of your dryer, or, if you found it round the back, from one of the main side panels
