Do you need to plug the inlet hose directly onto a tap or can it dangle inside a bucket of water? I ask because the tap I could use is quite a distance from where I would at least sometimes use the Karcher and I dont want to buy Karcher extension hoses.

Once primed most Karcher washers will happily work of a water but or pond provided the water is filtered or clean.
