For my son's Samsung Cooker BF641FST, I intend to purchase a timer PCB assembly (ES1670234) because the timer display is dead but would it be necessary to also purchase a noise filter unit (ES1607018)?

The noise filter should not need replacing providing it is not blowing fuses or showing signs of damage. There should be separate continuity between each wire and one connection tag on the board.
