Is replacing the tachometer likely to stop my machine running at full speed, regardless of the control setting?
The control resistor appears to be ok and I have replaced the Main PCB, as I thought this the most likely cause, but the problem remains. At the lowest setting the motor speeds up to maximum

Without the 'speed' feedback produced from this part the motor will run at high speed your part may be faulty.
