Resistance

Attempting to diagnose an oven starting fault and think this part is needed. Please could you confirm the resistance Ω between the securing plate and the tip? (or rough estimate for a similar part)

  • Thanks for the reply Dean. Thinking about it there should be no continuity (infinite resistance) between the securing plate and the other parts; hence I have confirmed the part as failed. Cheers. By Graham - - 29 May 2018

    We believe you need to check the electrode for any signs of damage as they do crack causing it not to spark, you do not test the resistance of an electrode.
