My microwave guide( panasonic NN-K181MM) cover has 2 prongs at each end. I have broken two covers whilst bending the cover to get the prongs into the slots in the frame. How can I fit without damaging?

Try bending he cover over something like a thin pencil on the cavity wall and sliding the pencil out when correctly aligned.
