Washing machine drum paddle.Hoover. How do I get the old one off?
I have got the new part ES1376296 from you (excellent service) but find I can't get the old one off and I can't find a "how to video" that covers my Hoover oph716df-80. I have tried pulling it in all directions, easing it upwards with a screwdriver, and trying to release it through the holes. All of the lugs are broken off and it is just as though it is screwed in from underneath. Whatever is holding the old one I assume I will have to reuse on the new one?

Chris at eSpares says...
Many Hoover paddles are fixed with stainless steel screws from under the tub. It is possible to remove these screws by lying the machine on its side and and removing the sump hose to access the screw. These are not magnetic so use blue tack to hold them on your screwdriver tip. Alternatively you could nibble the old paddle off with pliers or side cutters until the screw drops into the sump. The new paddle may stay in place without the screw by clipping in position. The old screw will work its way into the pump filter and the machine should not be left running unattended until you are able to recover the screw.
