How big is this part and where does it fit under my gas hob as there does not seem to be any room for such a chunky looking thing?
The current spark generator on my hob just keeps sparking and won't go off unless I switch off the electricity going to the hob.

We believe it is likely to be the ignition unit, you will need to gain access to the inside of the hob to check the unit.
