In my beko fridge the thermostat doesn't appear to make any difference to the temperature, should you be able to hear the thermostat click in and out as turn the dial?

If the fridge is freezing food and will not cut off when adjusted it is likely the thermostat is faulty. If the motor runs but it does not get cold or the motor is hot and does not run then this is not a faulty thermostat.
