Whirlpool Dishwasher Error Code F01
The joy of loading a dishwasher and switching it on is a great feeling, as you know that it is about to do all the work so you don't have to!
We all like to relax after dinner so why lift a finger when the dishwasher can take the washing load off you. However, like all household appliances, the dishwasher can be put under pressure from regular use and this can cause various unexpected faults.
If your dishwasher has suddenly thrown an F01 error code on the digital display screen, the most likely cause for this could be the NTC temperature sensor failing.
Don’t worry though, with our help you may just be able to diagnose the problem and possibly restore your dishwasher’s efficiency yourself - saving you time and money too in the process.
Sensor Failure
If the sensor in your dishwasher has failed, your dirty dishes may not come out as clean to what your expectations are - as without hot water greasy residue will struggle to wash away.
The NTC sensor monitors the water temperature in the machine and allows the control board to regulate the water heater. If the sensor fails and its resistance is outside the normal limits the control board will recognise this and display the error code.
This part will usually be found pushed into the sump under the wash cavity.
Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair.
- To access the sensor remove the base panel of the dishwasher to locate the sump which will have the sensor attached.
If you have identified the NTC sensor to be faulty, check our wide range of dishwasher spare parts for the perfect replacement and get your dishwasher working as it should.
