Heater Element
A common cause of a washer dryer not drying may be the heater element. Depending on your model, most washers have two heating elements that are secured inside a metal housing.
Safety First! Please make sure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before beginning any repair.
- Remove the lid on the washer dryer and disconnect one of the electrical connectors.
- Inspect the element for visual signs of damage.
- The ideal resistance reading is anywhere between 25 and 150 ohms. If you get a result of zero or excessively higher then the element will be faulty.
If the element is defective a replacement will be required to get your appliance working again. For a spare heater - see our range of washer dryers spares here.
