Dishwashers make life a little easier after meal times don't they? This is especially true when you've just enjoyed a large family meal, but then find that there are no willing volunteers for the washing up!
If upon using your dishwasher it flags up with an error code F06 (the second and third light from the left) on the control panel, you are probably wondering what this is all about - well no need to worry, we’ve got the answers for you.
Our advice should help you identify the fault and get the water flowing into your dishwasher once again.
Water Not Filling
An error code on your dishwasher can be a serious cause of a dilemma.
If your Hotpoint dishwasher is displaying an F06 error on the display, the problem is most likely related to the water inlet or filling of the machine. Use our step by step guide below to swiftly have your dishwasher filled with water ready to give your dishes a good clean.
- If the door lock has not engaged the dishwasher will refuse to fill with water. In addition, water in the base will activate the float - making the dishwasher pump out to clear any remaining water.
- Having a clean filter in your dishwasher. This is imperative as it collects food debris and other particles, that would otherwise appear on your dishes. Remove the filter and clean thoroughly, (usually located at the bottom front of the appliance).
