Hoover Washing Machine Error Code E02
You’ve most likely found your way here because you are trying to identify why your washing machine is not filling correctly. In order to clean your clothes the machine will need to fill up with water, but if not the cycle will not start.
If your washing machine has suddenly flagged up with either an E02 error code or the power light is blinking twice before pausing and repeating, there is likely to be a problem with the machine filling with water. Our guide may just be the tool you need to restore your appliance and get back in control of washing your clothes.
Inlet Valve
The washing machine inlet valve is the electrical solenoid valve - and this opens when current is applied to allow the washer to fill up with water from the household water supply.
Now if the valves have either blocked or not been activated, your washer will not fill up with water. With our help, you can prevent your washer from running dry again.
Safety First! Please make sure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before beginning any repair.
- If the water supply is turned on and the hose pipe is not kinked the problem may be due to a faulty inlet valve.
- Check the inlet valve with a multimeter to confirm continuity - typically 2000 to 4000 Ohms. (See here for instruction on how to use a multimeter)
If there is no resistance reading or when the machine starts there is a slight hum from the valve, but no water enters the machine, it is likely to be faulty - and will require a replacement valve.
