Bosch Dishwasher E17 Error Code
A dishwasher is a must-have if you have lots of guests over for dinner - meaning that there are plenty of dishes to wash. They certainly make your life that bit more convenient, by allowing you to cook your delicious meals without then needing to scrub the plates clean late at night.
If your Bosch dishwasher is suddenly displaying an E17 error code, it is most likely related to a problem with the water level in the machine being too high.
By following our article we can shed some light on this situation, so you can soon hopefully get your dishwasher back into working order in no time.
Water Level Too High
If the water level is too high in the dishwasher it may leak over the door seal, then any excess water may build up in the base located underneath the dishwasher or the floor.
When water enters the sump it passes through a float chamber, if the level in the machine causes this float to raise up it indicates excess water and will operate the flood function and start running the pump. This can occur if the pipe from the float chamber is restricted from grease build up. If the dishwasher is overflowing with water or showing this error, follow our steps below:
Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair.
- Inspect the tube for obstructions as it may cause the dishwasher to overfill with water. Remove any gunk and run a test wash.
- If the problem still persists, check the float and switch are operating correctly and replace the float switch if required to solve your worries.
If you’re feeling super productive we recommend using a dishwasher cleaner to hygienically clean the internal hoses and parts where you cannot reach.
