How to Replace the Door Hinge on a Bosch Washing Machine

To make sure you purchase the correct replacement hinge for your washing machine, you're going to need to find out the model number and details of your appliance. These can usually be found on the inside of your washing machine door or on the removable kickplate panel at the bottom of the appliance. If you can't find it here, check the side or the back of your washing machine. The model number usually consists of a combination of letters and numbers and could also include characters such as a dash (-) or a slash (/).

Using a Torx head screwdriver, locate and remove the two screws that keep the door hinge connected to the cabinet. Once they have been unscrewed, lift the door away from the appliance.

Place the door on a flat surface for safety, then proceed to remove all of the screws from the inner side of the door. This includes one that is hidden behind the sticker.

To remove the hinge, lift up the inner door slightly and lift the hinge out.

You will also want to remove the two plastic caps from the old hinge and place them onto the new replacement hinge.

Then lift up the inner door again and insert the new hinge into place.

Next, you can refit the screws you removed earlier into the back of the door.

Finally, using the two screws you removed earlier, refit the door by screwing the hinge back into place on the washing machine.

Make sure that, once you've fit the new door into place, the door opens and closes properly.
