Let's get stuck in! To learn how to replace a Samsung ecobubble washing machine control panel, either way the video below or follow our written step-by-step guide beneath.
Safety first
Remember, safety comes first! Make sure your appliance is switched off and unplugged from the mains before carrying out any work or repairs.
Step 1: Remove the top panel
To begin the control panel replacement process, you'll first need to remove the top panel. Using your Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws at the back of the top panel (one on either side).
With the two rear screws removed, you will be able to pull the top panel away from the machine and place it to one side.
Step 2: Remove the control panel
Now you can start removing the control panel/fascia from the washing machine. First, pull the detergent drawer out and place it aside.
Then use your Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws that hold the control panel in place at the top.
Next, remove the two screws that can be found around the opening from which you removed the detergent drawer.
With all these screws removed, you will be able to pull the control panel away from the machine. However, it will still be connected by an electrical connection. You can go ahead and disconnect this clip by pinching it to fully remove the control panel.
Step 3: Remove the PCB from the control panel
Before replacing the control panel, you'll first need to remove the PCB (printed circuit board) so you can fit it into your new control panel later. Use your Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the three screws that keep the PCB in place inside the control panel.
Once the three screws have been unscrewed, you'll need to free the PCB from its clips. Use your flathead screwdriver to gently pry each of the clips free, taking care not to crack them as you do so.
The PCB will still be connected to the old control panel by an electrical connection. Simply pinch this connection and pull it away to fully disconnect the PCB.
Step 4: Transfer the control knob
Now it's time to fit your new control panel! First, you'll need to push the control knob out of the old control panel, as you will also need to transfer this onto your new panel alongside the PCB.
Once removed from the old panel, insert the control knob into place on your new control panel.
Step 5: Refit the PCB
To start fitting the PCB into your new control panel, first reconnect the PCB's electrical connection into the new panel.
Then fit the PCB into place inside the new control panel, making sure it is held firmly in place by all the clips.
To secure the PCB, use your Phillips screwdriver to refit the three screws you removed earlier.
Step 6: Fit the new control panel
Now you can start fitting your new control panel onto your washing machine. First, reconnect the panel and PCB to the washing machine's electrical connection.
Then slot the new control panel into place on the front of the washing machine.
Secure the control panel to the washing machine by refitting the screws you removed earlier. These are the four screws in the top of the panel and the two screws around the detergent drawer opening.
Then refit the detergent drawer by slotting it back into its opening.
Step 7: Refit the top panel
Finally, refit the top panel by slotting it back onto the top of the machine.
And return the two screws that hold it in place at the rear.
