You'll need:
To complete this repair, you will need the following tools. If you don't have these to hand, you can find them on the eSpares website.
- A Phillips screwdriver
- A small flat blade screwdriver
- A 4mm Allen key
- A 10mm spanner or ratchet
- A 12mm spanner
Safety First!
Before you begin, make sure your fridge freezer is turned off and completely disconnected from the mains.
Removing freezer door
Step 1: Remove the freezer door
First, we're going to show you how to remove the freezer door. The first thing you need to do is remove all of the contents from the freezer as well as the icebox.
Step 2: Remove the front plinth
Then, you'll need to remove the front leg cover. To do this, open both the freezer and fridge doors and remove the three screws around the front. You can then pull it away so you can access the water supply line.
Step 3: Removing water supply line
Next, you'll need to separate the water supply line from the fridge freezer. To do this, remove the pipes from the cradle then press the coupler and pull the water line away.
Step 4: Remove the hinge cover and hinge
Close the doors on the fridge freezer and undo the screw that's holding the hinge cover in place.
Then carefully lift and turn over the cover.
Step 5: Unplug the sensor plug
Unplug the sensor plug by using a small flat blade screwdriver to gently ease it out. You can then remove the cover completely.
Step 6: Remove the earth cable
Unscrew the earth cable using your Phillips screwdriver.
And then disconnect the plug using your flat blade screwdriver.
Then disconnect the yellow plug by pulling it away.
Step 7: Remove the top hinge
Next, you'll need to remove the top hinge. To do this, you'll need to remove the 3 10mm bolts that are keeping it in place with either your spanner or ratchet.
Step 8: Remove the door
Now you can fully remove the door by carefully lifting it straight up so that you don't bend or damage the hinges.
Step 9: Remove the lower hinge bracket
Remove the lower hinge bracket by removing the 3 10mm bolts using a ratchet.
Remove fridge door
Step 10: Empty the fridge
Next, we're going to show you how to remove the fridge door. First, you will need to remove the contents of the fridge.
Step 11: Remove the hinge
Shut the fridge door and remove the hood screw using your Phillips screwdriver.
Then turn the hinge cover over and unclip the sensor from the underside of the hinge cover.
And remove the two plugs using a flat blade screwdriver. You can now remove the cover completely.
Step 12: Remove the upper hinge
Remove the upper hinge by removing the 3 10mm bolts with your ratchet and lift the hinge away.
Step 13: Remove the door
You can then remove the fridge door by lifting it up and pulling it away. Then place it down on a protected surface.
Step 14: Remove the bottom hinge
Remove the bottom hinge by lifting it out and remove the chassis bracket by removing the 3 10mm bolts with a ratchet.

Refitting Fridge Door
Step 15: Refit the chassis bracket
Now we're going to take you through how to refit the doors, starting with the fridge door. The first thing to do is refit the chassis bracket. Do this by refitting the 3 10mm bolts with your ratchet and inserting the lower hinge.
Step 16: Refit the door
Fit the hole in the corner of the fridge door over the hinge and close the door.
Step 17: Refit the upper hinge
Insert the upper hinge shaft into the hole on the hinge.
Make sure the hinge is level with the holes and refit the screws.
You can then reconnect the 2 plugs.
And clip in the sensor.
Then secure the hinge cover with the screw.
Refitting Freezer Door
Step 18: Refit the chassis bracket
Now the fridge door is back in place, it's time to refit the freezer door. Start by refitting the chassis bracket by refitting the 3 10mm bolts.
Step 19: Refit the door
Replace the door by inserting the lower hinge into the chassis bracket and close the door.
Step 20: Refit the upper hinge
Line up the upper hinge and refit the 3 10mm bolts.
Refit the earth screw, reconnect the white and yellow plugs and clip in the sensor.
Then refit the cover and secure it with the screw.
Step 21: Refit the water connectors
Check the water connectors for any leakages and if they are fine, reconnect them and replace the plinth.
Step 22: Put your fridge freezer back together
You can now replace everything in your fridge freezer.
Step 23: Make sure the fridge freezer is level
The next thing you need to do is make sure your fridge freezer is level. If it's not level, you won't be able to get the doors perfectly even. Simply insert the flat head screwdriver into the notch on the foot and turn it until you are happy.
Step 24: Adjust the doors
Now that the fridge freezer is level, you might need to adjust the doors to get them even. To do this, unscrew the locking nut from the lower hinge of each door.
Then use an Allen key to loosen the adjuster and adjust the height difference between the two doors. When you are happy, you can tighten the locking nut to keep it in place.
